Increase Photo Size in KB
Form says your photo or signature is too small? Pick the minimum KB, choose your file and download a version that passes. Pixels stay the same and nothing is uploaded.
Always confirm the limits in your form's official instructions.
How it works
- Your image is re-saved as a high-quality JPG (or kept as PNG if you choose PNG).
- If it is still below your minimum, invisible metadata is added until it passes. The picture itself does not change.
- Enter a Max KB as well when the form gives a range, such as 20–50 KB, and the result stays inside it.
- Each result shows a ✓ or ✗ for size, pixels, format and DPI before you download.
When to use something else
- File too big instead of too small? Use the image compressor.
- Form asks for exact pixel dimensions? Enter width and height above, or use the image resizer.
- Need a passport-size photo with a plain background? Use the passport photo maker.
Frequently asked questions
Why forms reject small files, and what PixelKaro changes.
Why does a form say my photo is too small in KB?
Many exam and job portals set a minimum as well as a maximum, for example 20–50 KB. A photo saved by a phone app or already compressed can fall below the minimum and is rejected just like an oversized file.
How does PixelKaro increase the KB size?
It first re-saves the image as a high-quality JPG. If the file is still below your minimum, it adds invisible metadata (a JPEG comment or PNG text chunk) until it passes the minimum. The pixels, dimensions and picture stay exactly the same.
Does increasing KB improve image quality?
No. A larger file does not add detail. If the form also asks for bigger pixel dimensions, enter the width and height in the tool; for a sharp result, start from the original photo rather than an already-compressed copy.
Can I set a maximum too?
Yes. Enter both Min KB and Max KB, for example 20 and 50. PixelKaro keeps the file inside the range and shows a check for each requirement before you download.
