Check up to 10 JPG, PNG or WebP images together. Files stay on this device.

How to use it
  1. Choose or drop a PDF file.

  2. Wait while each page is scanned for placed images.

  3. Review the effective DPI per image and fix any below 300 DPI before printing.

A PDF has no single DPI. Each image inside it has its own resolution at the size it is placed, so a low-resolution logo or photo can print blurry even when the rest of the page looks fine.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check the DPI of a PDF?

Choose the PDF above. PixelKaro finds every image placed on each page and works out its effective DPI from its pixels and the size it is printed at.

Why does my PDF not have one DPI value?

A PDF can mix text, vector graphics and images. Text and vectors print sharp at any size; only images have a resolution, and each one can be different.

What DPI should a PDF be for printing?

Aim for 300 DPI for photos and images viewed up close. 150–200 DPI is usually fine for large posters viewed from a distance.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The PDF is read inside your browser and never leaves your device.
